Terms and Conditions for the Use of Secure Lockers Electronic Lockers
1. Definitions
In these terms and conditions, the following definitions apply:

"Service": The rental of electronic lockers provided by Secure Lockers.

"Customer": The person using the service.
-
"Locker": The physical space in which the customer places their belongings.
-
"Rental Period": The period during which the customer rents the locker.
-
"Digital Access": Access to the locker provided via a personal digital link sent to the customer’s email address.
2. Locker Rental
-
Lockers can be rented on-site by scanning the QR code, directing customers to our online portal.
-
Each locker is rented for a fixed rental period of 24 hours.
-
The rental period starts upon successful payment and locker assignment.
-
Early termination of the rental period does not entitle the customer to a refund.
-
Lockers are available for rental 24/7, subject to the operating hours of the shopping mall.
3. Payment
-
Payment must be made in advance using the available payment methods on our website.
-
All prices include applicable taxes.
-
No refunds are provided for unused rental periods or early termination.
4. Customer Responsibilities
-
Customers are responsible for securely locking the locker and ensuring it is properly closed.

Only personal, non-hazardous items may be stored. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to:
-
Valuables such as money, jewelry, or high-value electronics.
-
Hazardous materials, explosives, flammable substances, or perishable goods.
-
Illegal items or substances.
-

Customers are responsible for the secure use of their digital access. Any misuse resulting from sharing, forwarding, or loss of access is at the customer’s own risk.
5. Liability
-
Secure Lockers is not liable for loss, theft, or damage to stored items unless caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence on our part.

In cases where liability is established, compensation is limited to a maximum of €250 per locker.

Customers are advised not to store items exceeding this value.
6. Access and Inspection

Secure Lockers reserves the right to access lockers in cases of emergencies, suspected illegal activities, or if the rental period has been exceeded.

Any items found to be in violation of these terms may be removed and handed over to the authorities or disposed of appropriately.
7. Force Majeure
-
Secure Lockers is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, or technical failures.
8. Privacy
-
Personal data is collected and processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

Data is used solely for administrative purposes and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law or necessary for service provision.
9. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
-
These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law.
-
Any disputes arising from these terms will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
10. Amendments
-
Secure Lockers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time.
-
Changes will be communicated via our website and will take effect upon publication.
11. Digital Access & User Responsibility
-
Access to the locker is provided via a personal digital link sent to the email address supplied by the customer.
-
The customer is responsible for:
-
providing a correct email address;
-
securely storing and using the received email and access link;
-
preventing third parties from gaining access to the digital link or the device used.
-
-
Any use of the locker through the digital access is deemed to have been carried out by the customer.
11A. Verification and Access
-
Secure Lockers reserves the right to verify the identity of any person requesting access to
a locker or stored items. -
Access will only be granted if sufficient verification is provided, at the sole discretion of
Secure Lockers. -
In the event that sufficient verification cannot be obtained, Secure Lockers reserves the
right to refuse access. -
The data provided at the time of booking (including email address and transaction
details) shall be considered leading in determining the rightful user.
12. Exceeding the Rental Period
-
If the customer does not empty the locker before the end of the 24-hour rental period,
access to the locker will be restricted. The locker can only be accessed again after
payment of the applicable additional charges. The rental period is considered expired
from that moment onward. -
From the moment the rental period expires, the applicable daily rental fee continues to
be charged for each additional 24-hour period. -
During this period, the customer remains responsible for retrieving their belongings as
soon as possible.
13. Continued Use After Expiry
-
If the locker remains occupied after the rental period has expired, the customer may
continue to use the locker for a maximum of 72 hours (3 days) after expiry, subject to
continued daily rental charges. -
Secure Lockers reserves the right to monitor overdue lockers and may contact the
customer to request timely retrieval.
14. Removal and Storage of Items
-
If the locker remains occupied for more than 72 hours after the rental period has expired,
Secure Lockers is entitled to:-
open the locker;
-
remove the stored items;
-
store the items in a secured location.
-
-
Prior to removal, Secure Lockers may notify the customer that the items will be removed
if not collected within a reasonable timeframe. -
This measure is taken to ensure availability, safety, and proper operation of the lockers.
15. Retrieval of Stored Items & Fees
-
If items have been removed due to exceeding the rental period, the customer may retrieve their belongings upon request, subject to:
-
payment of an administrative handling fee of €30;
-
payment of continued storage costs, equal to the applicable daily rental fee per locker size, calculated from the moment the rental period expired.

Items will only be released after full payment of the applicable fees.
16. Disposal of Unclaimed Items
-
If items are not claimed within 30 days after removal, Secure Lockers reserves the right to dispose of the items.
-
Secure Lockers is not liable for any loss or damage resulting from such disposal.
17. Liability Limitation in Case of Overdue Use
-
Secure Lockers shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or consequential damages arising from:
-
exceeding the rental period;
-
blocking of the locker;
-
continued charges after expiry;
-
removal, storage, or disposal of items.

This applies unless mandatory law dictates otherwise.
